One year ago: Paul Burke
Actor Paul Burke was a familiar face on television and in the movies.
Burke, who died a year ago at 83, played Det. Adam Flint in the early 1960s TV drama "Naked City" and later starred as a World War II Army Air Forces colonel in the action-adventure series "Twelve O'Clock High."
"Naked City," Times television critic Cecil Smith once wrote, "took the police show and gave it a dignity and compassion that at times approached high tragedy."
