Movie producer Elliott Kastner dies at 80

Elliott Kastner, a longtime Hollywood movie producer whose credits include ‘Where Eagles Dare’ (1968) and film adaptations of the Raymond Chandler crime novels ‘The Long Goodbye’ (1973), ‘Farewell, My Lovely’ (1975) and ‘The Big Sleep’ (1978), has died. He was 80.

Kastner died of cancer Wednesday in London, his stepson, actor Cary Elwes, said.
