Bean joined Twitter in 2008 and as of Wednesday had more than 59,000 followers. Her generally upbeat tweets included telling followers about her meals, the weather and her family. Bean’s last tweet was July 6. It read, ‘going to have my lunch now will be back later.’

Bean noted in an April tweet that she used the social media site Facebook before trying Twitter, which she found easier. Wright said Bean ‘grabbed new technology. She would try anything.’
