John Radcliffe, Danny Gans' high school baseball coach
Times sportswriter Jerry Crowe notes in his Text messages from press row column that John Radcliffe, who coached baseball at Torrance High School from 1968 to 1981, died Tuesday. Among Radcliffe's team members was Danny Gans, the baseball player turned Las Vegas entertainer who died unexpectedly in May.
